Dog teeth cleaning before and after

In today’s article we are going to talk about one special topic. Dog teeth cleaning before and after. Im going to explain every single thing that you need to know about cleaning dogs teeth. I will explain every thing that you need to follow in this article. These steps will be described step by step for you guys. Buy a dog toothbrush and toothpaste. Do not use human toothpaste or a toothbrush to clean your dog’s teeth. Human toothpaste contains large amounts of fluoride which is toxic to dogs. Head to your local pet store or groomer to buy some dog toothpaste and a toothbrush. You can also make your own dog toothpaste by mixing baking soda with water. Mix one tablespoon of hot water with two tablespoons of baking soda. To add freshness to the batter, add a pinch of cinnamon to the mixture.

Pick a quiet time. Take your dog to the bathroom or somewhere away from noise and bustle, and close the door. Also choose a well-lit space so that you can carefully inspect your dog’s teeth. Bring puppy treats so you can reward your dog for good behavior at all times. Massage your dog’s lips. First massage the dog’s lips with your fingers to get him used to brushing. Once a day for a week, massage your dog’s lips in a circular motion for 30-60 seconds. This step is especially important if your dog has an adverse reaction to the touch of his mouth. If your dog has an adverse reaction, stop what you are doing. Please try again in a minute. Reward your dog for good behavior.

Dog teeth cleaning before and after – Start with teeth and gums without brushing.

Over the next week, continue to touch the dog’s teeth and gums with your fingers. Wrap your fingers in gauze. Lift and hold the dog’s upper lip. Use your fingers to gently run in circular motions over your dog’s upper teeth. Do this for 30 seconds. Press and hold the dog’s bottom lip and do the same circular motion on his bottom teeth for 30 seconds. Practice once a day for a week. Don’t forget to give your dog a good behavior treat afterwards.

Apply toothpaste to your finger

Put some toothpaste on your finger to introduce the toothpaste to your dog. Let your dog sniff and lick the toothpaste off your finger. By doing this, your dog will get used to the taste and texture of the toothpaste. You can do this before or after massaging your dog’s teeth with your fingers.

Dog teeth cleaning before and after – Touch the teeth with a toothbrush.

Insert the toothbrush touching the front, side and back teeth with the brush. Touch the upper and lower teeth with a toothbrush. Do this for 30 seconds on the upper and lower teeth once a day for a week. Be sure to reward your dog afterwards.

Brush your dog’s teeth

Let your dog lick the toothpaste off your finger. Once your dog is comfortable with the process, you can start brushing him. Before you start, put some toothpaste on your finger and let your dog lick it off. Then put more toothpaste on your toothbrush. Keep your upper lip. At a 45 degree angle, place the toothbrush on the upper teeth while holding the lips. Massage your teeth with your toothbrush in small circular motions, just as you train. Most plaque and tartar accumulate on the sides of the teeth that touch the lips. Focus on these areas. Work on small areas at a time, lifting your dog’s lips as needed. As you remove tartar and plaque, move your upper teeth down. Press and hold the dog’s lower lip and massage the outside of the bottom teeth in the same circular motion. Use upward strokes to remove tartar from lower teeth.

Brush the inside of your teeth. After cleaning the outside of your teeth, try brushing the inside. Your dog can rebel. If so, don’t hit your dog, just stop brushing his teeth. Only a small amount of tartar accumulates inside the tooth. Therefore, it is less important than the sides of the tooth. Don’t forget to reward your dog for good behavior afterwards.

Brush your teeth at least 3 times a week

It is recommended that you brush your dog’s teeth daily, but at least 3 times a week. Since small dogs are more prone to dental problems, it is recommended that they brush their teeth daily or at least five times a week.  Healthy gums are pink, not cherry red or white, and show no signs of swelling or bleeding.

Buy chew toys. Non-toxic chew toys made of nylon, rubber, or rawhide are also a great way to keep your dog’s teeth and gums strong and healthy. Chew toys help massage the gums and remove soft tartar. Reward your dog with specially formulated treats to keep your dog’s teeth healthy. Chew toys and chew toys should not replace regular brushing.

Dog teeth cleaning before and after – Consult your veterinarian

Ask your veterinarian to examine your dog’s teeth to rule out any existing infection or disease. Ask your vet what dental care your breed needs. Some dogs, especially small dogs, are more prone to dental disease and infections, such as gingivitis and gum disease. Your veterinarian can recommend a dental cleaning regimen tailored to your dog’s needs. If your dog exhibits any of the following symptoms, take him to the vet immediately: inflamed or swollen gums, loose or decayed teeth, toothache i.e. scratching at the mouth, bumps on the gums, which are lumps in the mouth or that are full of fluid under the tongue or in the corner of the jaw Blisters appear nearby.
